Emergency Medical Assistant Motor Cycle (EMAMC)

Description

The existing versions of Emergency Medical Assistant Motorcycle (EMAMC) are Honda ST1300P and BMW R900RT.

Function

EMAMC is designed to respond to location where responding ambulance is obstructed by traffic congestion, or cannot be readily responded to by ambulance due to non-availability in the area, or at location where access by ambulance is prohibited by road configuration, etc. It serves to provide advanced pre-hospital paramedical care to patients suffering from major trauma, chronic obstructive airway disease, asthma, diabetes mellitus, cardiac disease and unconscious patients by applying EMA II skills of comprehensive patient assessment, cardiac care by cardiopulmonary resuscitation and defibrillation, intravenous / intramuscular injection therapy, and use of selected drugs.
