Q1
How can I apply for a visit to a fire station? Top
Ans:

The application procedure is simple.
(please see the “Application for Visit to Fire Station / Ambulance Depot”).

Q2

What should I do when there is a gas leakage?
Ans:

When there is a gas leakage, do not produce naked flame or sparks which may ignite the leaked gas. Do not switch on or off lightings or any electrical appliance, do not use telephone, including mobile phone and do not rub any object that may produce naked flame or sparks for the same reason.

When it is safe, turn off the gas supply, open the windows of the affected unit and then inform the occupants of the affected and nearby units to leave. But remember to knock on their doors only, do not ring the bells.

Upon arrival at a safe place, call the Fire Services for help. Stay to tell the Fire Services personnel what you know.

Q3 What should I do when there is a fire?
Ans:

It depends on the circumstances, there is no hard and fast rule to follow. Please refer to the guidelines “What to do in case of fire” at the Information Release of our website.

Q4 Where are the fire stations?
Ans:

The locations of fire stations are shown on our homepage (please see the “Distribution of Fire Station / Ambulance Depot”).

Q5 Tell me how to operate a fire hose reel when there is a fire?
Ans:

First, pick up the hose reel at a safe place which is near the fire ground. Then, break the glass of the fire alarm call point to activate the alarm and the fire pump. Turn on the control valve of the water supply main to the full, pull the plastic tubing from the drum, and point the nozzle to the fire. Turn on the nozzle valve and operate the fire hose at a safe distance.
