The
Fire Services Department is committed to providing effective
and efficient emergency ambulance services for everyone who
needs to be conveyed to a hospital as soon as possible. In
order to enhance the existing emergency ambulance services
by providing quicker response to people in greatest need,
the Government proposes to introduce Medical Priority Dispatch
System (MPDS) in Hong Kong to categorise and prioritise response
to emergency ambulance calls in accordance with the degree
of urgency.
We
have launched a four-month consultation period starting on
3 July 2009. You can obtain a copy of the consultation document
at District Offices or download the following -
