Description
|
The
foam generator consists of a pourer and a piece of (optional) plastic
tubing. The fan of the pourer which is driven directly from the shaft
of a water turbine supplies an air stream to spray the foam solution on
to the surface of the screen. The action of mixing the air/foam solution
and blowing the mixture through the screen produces foam. |

Function
|
The
foam generator is used to apply high expansion foam to fires within enclosed
spaces, e.g. basement etc. The foam can expel hot gases and smoke from
a fire ground for cooling purposes. It can generate foam at a maximum
rate of 192m3/min. With the ribbed flexible ducting, the generator can
also be used for smoke extraction, its maximum extraction rate is 280m3/min. |
