  • Bring along the three useful items for fire escape (mobile phone, keys and wet towel)
  • If you decide to stay in the unit, close the door and seal any gaps around it with duct tapes and wet towels, and call 999

  • Break glass of the fire alarm call point or actuate fire alarm call point
  • Open control valve (turning anti-clockwise)
  • Break glass of glass-fronted cabinet (if any) and run out hose

Fire Service Installations and Equipment

Regulation 8(1) of Fire Service (Installations and Equipment) Regulations, Cap 95B, the owner of any fire service installation or equipment which is installed in any premises shall
(a) keep such fire service installation or equipment in efficient working order at all times; and
(b) have such fire service installation or equipment inspected by a registered contractor at least once in every 12 months
