Proposed Amendments to the Fire Services Ordinance (Cap. 95) and its Related Subsidiary Legislation

Public Consultation

 

The Government is drawing up legislative proposals encompassing six pillars for the proposed amendments to the Fire Services Ordinance (Cap. 95) and its related subsidiary legislation, so as to enhance public safety, regulatory coherence, enforcement effectiveness and accountability. The Security Bureau and the Fire Services Department commenced a public consultation exercise on 26 May 2026 and the consultation period is from 26 May 2026 to 25 June 2026. For details, please refer to the public consultation paper.
