FIRE / SPECIAL SERVICE


When reporting a fire/special service incident, you should

  • Remain calm, dial 999
  • Clearly state the location of incident
    e.g. street name, street number, building name, floor and room number, etc.
  • Provide your contact telephone number
  • Clearly state the nature of incident
    e.g. building fire, gas leakage, etc.
  • Briefly describe the situation at scene
    e.g. people trapped, number of casualties, etc.
  • Follow the questions and provide appropriate information

 

AMBULANCE SERVICE


When calling for an ambulance, you should

  • Remain calm, dial 999
  • Clearly state the location of incident
    e.g. street name, street number, building name, floor and room number, etc.
  • Provide your contact telephone number
  • Clearly state the nature of injury or sickness
    e.g. cardiac arrest, traumatic injuries, etc.
  • Follow the questions and provide appropriate information

  • Clearly state the subject matter of your complaint, e.g. obstruction of fire escape, storage of excessive dangerous goods, or other matters
  • Tell where and when the irregularities occur
  • Indicate what form of reply you prefer - verbal or written
